2020 Wayne Regional Fair Cancelled

Now and always, the health and safety of our guests, participants, and community are our highest priority.  Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation and its impact on our community’s health and well-being, our Board has made the incredibly difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Wayne Regional Agricultural Fair.  We spent countless hours exploring every possible option and postponed our decision as long as possible.  When we considered the time it takes to plan and set up the fair, our state’s COVID-19 numbers, the cost to continue with a fair that could be canceled by others or have limited attendance, it became clear this was the best decision.

For over 70 years our fair has strengthened Wayne and surrounding counties by bringing people together to celebrate agriculture.  We have provided a venue for youth and adults to showcase their talents and skills, given our patrons a wide variety of fair foods, and presented a midway with amazing rides.  Our fair has been a “Family Tradition.”   It is with deep regret that we have made this decision.

Our hearts go out to the small businesses and nonprofits who rely on our fair for financial support.  We feel for our exhibitors and patrons who enjoy the unique experiences provided by our annual celebration.  If you made an exhibit for this year’s fair you will be allowed to enter it next year.  Meanwhile, look forward to next year for our best fair ever.  Mark your calendars now for September 30-October 9, 2021.  Until then, follow us on FaceBook for updates or call our office if you have additional questions.  Stay safe, be well, and understand our decision.  See you next year.

The gunfight is held every night when weather permits except for Sunday, September 29 and Thursday, October 3.
